Autistic savant, Mary Katherine Day-Petrano, age 6 circa 1964, hand-flapping at U.S. Capitol, Washington, D.C. - Video
Mary (pen-name EquiisSavant), was informed by her late Mother she was diagnosed with Childhood Kanner autism. Mary's story plays out on video, her blog, artist / pony breeding farm website, and Facebook, and how almost every one of millions of autistic people's special autistic talents and abilities are vastly under-appreciated and their lives wasted in the United States when they shouldn't be.

My Autistic Savant Childhood Videos / 1964 Are Dedicated To My Late Mom, Claire A. Day - to celebrate and remember her Life, not her death.
The autistic population now grows in a run-amok U.S. Catastrophe unfolding before the eyes of America -- where our government at every level is not prepared to handle the needs of the population tsunami of Autistic people. This broken system broke my Mom the same way it has and continues to break so many other parents and families of Autistic children in this Country due to lack of Autism education, supports, and services - and most importantly, small business loans and mortgages to serve the autistic population and allow us to work through "training our autistic talents."
On July 12, 1994, my Mom died as a casualty of Society's lack of acceptance and the right to exist of people with Autism, and the respect and supports due to our families.
Every American and the parents of children with Autism everywhere need to prepare for the possibility this will be your child's FUTURE if Autism in the U.S. does not reform its laws and approached to handling people with Autism and our families.
My Mom was my biggest supporter - she told me I could dream of achieving anything if I wanted it enough to Believe.
She told me not to let anyone use my Autism to hold me back.
She believed Autism is a gift and that people with Autism can achieve anything we want deep in our heart - she Believed because she believed in a brighter future where Autistic talents and abilities will be valued and appreciated - just like everyone else.Mother of an Autistic Savant: Engineering, Mathematics, Special Educ. & Gifted Teacher, in Ph.D Program at Michigan State University (never completed because of having to parent a child with Autism), member of MENSA, Series 7 Stockbroker, Real Estate Broker, 4.0 gpa, see Simon Baron-Cohen, THE ASSORTATIVE MATING THEORY, Autism Research Centre at Cambridge University.
